Summer Art Quintet
Summer Art Quintet is an indoor pavilion in Green Ripples Festival 2017, Taichung, Taiwan, co-created by five groups of artist interdisciplinarily. From the outside, the black and white illustration builds a forest where imaginary creatures live. As visitors get closer, there are four tree holes with kaleidoscope videos inside, which give an unexpected glimpse of behind the woods. The interior of the pavilion is a pure white garden surrounded by mirror walls. When the projection varies with colourful images and mellow sounds, the plain garden becomes a dreamy borderless world. Inspired by the classic play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', we intend to invite visitors to immerse themselves in a surreal environment and orchestrate a romantic encounter with art.
